Process

For this experimental blend, I pour off the lees of both the source batches into mason jars. After it settled, I racked what I could off of each, which was about 16 oz. They were blended partly because it tasted surprisingly good, and partly because I don't have (or care to use, as of writing) containers under 32 oz, so blending them allowed me to get them off the lees without creating any headspace issues.

As with many of my small blends or batches, there is risk of oxidation due to both of these being from lees that was literally poured out of their primary bucket after everything that could be safely racked without tons of sediment had already been collected.

And again as per usual, I'm not worried about it because this is product that anybody else would have thrown out that I get a chance to play with. I'm having fun, and if it turns out terribly then I've only lost what I arguably shouldn't have had to begin with. It's a win for me either way!
