Cacao nibs and back sweetening 08/23/2020
I am throwing the towel in on this one, as it is another brew with improper use of cacao nibs (toast them first!). I won't full-on dump it yet, as it's possible I may yet find a use for it to balance out another brew. I'll play around with it a bit, but this page may not receive additional updates.
OG is based purely on the GotMead calculator. This was a super quick nano batch I started for testing, so I figured a calculated OG was close enough for this mead.
Nutrients were based on a 1 gallon batch's nutes divided by 4, since this is about 1 quart. I believe with the honey's volume accounted for it should technically be 0.29 gallons, but it's difficult to weigh out such a small amount of nutrients. Since I knew I was going to go over a little bit (I did) I erred a little under on the batch size, which should have roughly evened me out.
I'm intend to experiment with secondary additions here, but I haven't decided with what just yet.
